The problem is that you can't study half of an issue and know how to structure your society.

Suppose we have our thermostat set to 25C / 77F. "It's TOO HOT, we're DYING!" complain some kids.

Poor kids! Most kids seem okay enough, but not those. Let's study what's wrong! We gather the "TOO HOT!" kids around, and we lower the thermostat to 15C / 59F and now those kids are happy! Success!

So, for the benefit of kids, we should set every thermostat to 15C / 59F. Also, this is brilliant, because it will help reduce our energy usage! Win-win!
