The right has been leading the way to this: nothing is more important than embracing the political ideology of your side, complete with there being no substantive distinction between your party's attack slogans and what you actually think.

They're not dictating what you think because dictates don't work as well as making people latch on to ideas that they take as their own.

Every single thing you said above is profoundly wrong--either literally flat out wrong, or so misleading as to be as bad as wrong. (You continue with more equally wrong things.)

Even if you are exaggerating for dramatic effect, that you think this is appropriate when discussing what is wrong with the right is a very clear example of what is wrong with the right.

Let's just take the first part of the first sentence.

"It was" -- okay, nothing wrong here.

"the Democrats" -- Democrats AND Republicans, and don't forget a Republican was President for almost all of the lockdowns everywhere.

"who locked" -- No, the lockdowns were not literal locks, and people could leave for critical errands like shopping.

"everyone" -- No, six states did not issue any stay at home order at all.

"in their homes" -- Okay, this is arguably close enough.

You say these are "actual facts" but they're thoroughly wrong. "These statements were inspired by real events," perhaps.
