The traditional ways of combating misinformation have neither involved anything with the reach of Twitter, nor involved censoring anything as intimate as Twitter.

I don't think we have much evidence that on social media we can do it well. The end result seems to be that people end up angry and even more certain that there's a conspiracy trying to cover up the truth.
