There's nothing wrong with using they/them as a way, for instance, to highlight our shared humanity and downplay sexual dimorphism, is there?
After all, if it's two guys or two girls or one of each, we don't care and use "they" either way.
It needn't follow that people believe it's a good idea to have major alterations to their bodies, or use an unexpected locker room in a context where there is an expectation.
