This is sometimes true, but not the point that I wanted to make, for two reasons.

First, it is precisely in those cases where Google and ChatGPT have trouble giving authoritative answers that disagreement is most common.

Second, Google and ChatGPT are amazing at feeding confirmation bias, because they are great at finding the kind of suggestive evidence that appeals to you when you ask them for it, but they're mediocre at evaluating how strong an argument is, so in some ways they can even exacerbate the effect: they give you things that you find compelling (that's their job!) but can't tell you whether everyone should find them compelling, and the latter is the goal.
