UFoI still in the formation stage, like a lot of things having to do with Mastodon. I think it's about a month old. Maybe UFoI won't go anywhere--the website is there, the ideas are there, the people are not. (I'm not sure how much if anything is going on behind the scenes.)

But I do wonder whether there is a plan for how to navigate issues regarding subcommunities. Medium calls all the shots on medium.com, so it can sculpt the kind of user experience it wants. But the fediverse is, well, diverse.
