Well, student debt is equal to about 50% of the total annual budget of the United States government, so, um, if we're talking about the U.S. here, that seems like it's at least a good candidate for potentially unrealistic at-least-in-the-short-term especially-while-trying-to-rein-in-inflation. (I would think that the main problem with cancelling student debt is that it is terribly unfair, unless you also refund everyone who already paid off their debts, but anyway, that's not what T.O.M. was talking about.)

I agree that if you make the distinction between liberals and the illiberal left, it is the illiberal left where you can find support for looting. If you don't, and "liberal" just means "anyone on the left", then you have to account for views like Osterweil's: https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2020/08/27/906642178/one-authors-argument-in-defense-of-looting

So...have you actually educated yourself? These aren't completely unreasonable charges to drop at the feet of "liberals".

(Right-wing talking points tend to include completely unsupportable allegations like that the point of vaccines is to induce a culture of compliance in the population, or that there was massive electoral fraud in the 2020 Presidential election. Also, just because something is a right-wing talking-point doesn't necessarily mean that there's no truth to it: it's not like if they find a real issue and try to talk about it, the words won't come out. The problem is that the right seems gleefully unrestrained by reality, not that they're physically unable to utter it.)
