Well, you're right, I had pretty much all the same things mapped out in my head too for a likely way that the conversation could progress, so thank you for not making us go through it all!

But if you want to focus on what you say the real issue is, why are you misusing statistics? Just focus on the real issue! Nothing is stopping you. Violence against women is a huge problem. You can make that point in a completely intellectually honest way.

Boeing has been having genuine problems with safety, but that doesn't mean I should misuse statistics to make it seem like flying is more dangerous than driving. Driving genuinely is more dangerous than flying in a Boeing 737 Max 8, but I shouldn't misuse statistics to make it seem like the Boeing issues should be dismissed.

One shouldn't have to choose between addressing an important topic and using correct reasoning.
