What do you think having a nature implies? It is a dog's nature to bark, but #notalldogs, so does that mean barking is not in a dog's nature? If someone has a jovial nature, must they be jovial at every moment?

I have a feeling we're not playing the same language games here.

For the record, my understanding is much more closely aligned with Hermes' (as I understand it) than yours (as I understand it), in that if something has a nature that means it has a tendency which is strong enough to be worth keeping in mind.
