These are endemic characteristics of human cognition. All the efforts “applying more rationality” and educating the masses is wishful thinking, and believe me, no one wishes it more than me [see MAGAts]. The science just doesn’t support it.

Why?
Where are the studies trying to educate people in rational decision-making in multiple ways and documenting that it fails?
We have to be cognizant of the limitations of our ability to be rational, just like we have to be cognizant of our other limitations. It does not follow from the existence of limitations that training is of no use.
