Yeah, this attitude is ridiculous.

Black Panther (the original) did as well as it did because it was a good film. It's the 6th highest grossing Marvel superhero film out of...uh...too many to count.

People have tried to make films in such a way to capture an audience without having a "good film", and, well, those films (surprise!) don't do so well.

Not a hard thing to grasp, except, I guess, for the "tails, I win; heads, you lose" crowd.
