Yeah, totally. Look at much of Europe (especially Scandinavia)--vastly less religious than the U.S., and they're doing fine. Japan. China. Vietnam. Fine. The legitimacy of almost everything that was ever predicated on the Bible has be re-legitimized on less questionable premises.

The real question is will civilization survive WITHOUT this revelation? Because, you know, if you think you're going to heaven--if you manage to actually fully convince yourself--then you don't necessarily think global thermonuclear war is all that bad, as long as it's done for some reason in accord with something in the Bible.

That should be terrifying.
