Yes, of course--all the initial asymptomatic infections were in unvaccinated people because there was no vaccine, then.

But the "absolutely no evidence anywhere" claim is wrong. What about the large difference in hospitalization rate, for instance? (If it would make a difference to you, I can cite some papers.)
