You can't just delete words and retain meaning. The word "mystical" is absolutely not used as a completely content-free term of abuse here. Instead, I am using it because it is the most precise term that describes what I mean: that there is some essence associated with human life that makes it of incalculable value, but which requires some supernatural intervention to reach (it is not ordinary physics, or you would be able to argue about the degree of value by analogy to other systems).

I'm happy to substitute any other term in its place that has that meaning (or a short phrase) if "mystical" feels too pejorative. (My phrasing was intentionally, though perhaps unhelpfully, harsh.) But when you remove the term, it changes the meaning.

I certainly agree that if I was only using it as a pejorative filler-word, then the statement would be incorrect.
