You have some good points and some debatable ones, but if you are making a response to the original post, why don't you just come out and either

(1) condemn Hamas' actions anyway, or

(2) explain how they are justified.

You can write a backstory for how a comic-book villain became a villain, but it doesn't mean that they're not now actually a villain. We might understand that there are reasons for why the Joker is as messed up as he is, but we still want Batman to defeat him (but not torture him and Harley Quinn).

Once we get our stance towards Hamas straight, then we can decide to what extent the Palestinians in Gaza support them and thus are complicit in their actions, and to what extent they are themselves prisoners of Hamas and perhaps need to be rescued rather than fought.

Otherwise, your post was about a week and a half too late: these are points you make before Hamas goes on a killing spree.
