You make a lot of good points, so it's disappointing to see you start off with such a blatantly poor argument.
The post-racial premise is that things have changed. That's what "post" means--it was one way, and now now we're past that.
You led with a counterargument is that over the course of U.S. history there have been huge problems.
This totally ignores the premise!
You follow on from your initial argument with a plethora of examples that clearly illustrate that we are certainly not post-racial yet, even if we are going in that direction. So, awesome, you made your case.
But the first argument falls completely flat, and the calculation you do isn't appropriate for changing conditions.
After all, you have more than a 41% chance of being legally allowed to vote in the next election, should you choose to try to.
