Your charges are a lot more apt when applied to your own post than Bennyb's. Maybe you want to try again and make an argument this time?
All this kind of thing does is make people who are concerned about a wage disparity look bad by association.
There are good arguments to make against Bennyb's point. But that the pay disparity numbers are from the Department of Labor isn't one of them, as you might know if you'd paid attention to Google's history with pay equity. This reads like, "Lol, you're so dumb, you should use a crummy measurement where you can't tell what's going on instead of a careful one!"
If you do want to try again, the best place to start is probably to evaluate Bennyb's premises about what are the necessary and sufficient set of things to consider when evaluating compensation.
